Today - a short and sweet review of the "The Bay Strikes Back Tour" from Exodus, Testament and Death Angel from my overseas metal-friend Mike. Mike - musician himself - is my number one source for metal tips and recommendations and his concert reviews are considerably shorter than mine.

"I hurt my knee in a sword fight and couldn't be up front or in the mosh pit like I would normally be, so I decided to stand in the middle of the venue further back to try to get the best sound. As soon as the first band started, three guys stood in front of me and were grinding to the music and dancing suggestively to Testament. They were older guys, so I don't think they knew just how uncool it looked. Then the guy in the middle threw a beer can and hit someone in the head. He high fived his friends. Death Angel had a great lead guitarist and sounded very old school. Exodus was kinda boring. Testament had a phenomenal live sound. Since I couldn't really drink or mosh... and it was a Tuesday, it was a weird experience. I need more metal friends."
Death Angel is definitely on my to-do list for this blog. I've been listening to some Testament and Exodus, Death Angel on the other hand has not been on my radar so far. I will have to see to this.
